General update
Hi all, This is just a quick little dev log to go over a few upcoming changes in V0.4.
I’ve been following the rough roadmap pretty well, and I’m proud to say V0.4 should be the first update that actually changes the game’s mechanics. I’ve added head bobbing and a sprinting mechanic which should make patrolling the hallways a lot less tedious and time-consuming. I’ve also created an options menu which will include a few graphics presets and a sensitivity slider. Nothing too major there, that should’ve been in the game since release.
This update so far feels much more polished in comparison to the previous updates. I’ve also seen a few comments about a particular bug where the objective counter doesn’t update. This is 100% something that will be fixed in the next update. This bug is likely caused by the recent overhaul of the random item spawning.
Update V0.4 will be released within the next few days. Excluding any possible game-breaking bugs that may need fixing immediately afterwards, Update V0.5 will be the one that includes Night 2, and takes the game out of its Alpha state. There will be a total of 3 nights. Each night will include new mechanics, though I won’t comment on that too much ;)
I read every single comment that appears on this page, and enjoy them, too. It’s great to hear feedback, especially as a first- time game dev, so keep it coming, good or bad :)
